CPS Skyline Professional Learning, SY25
Skyline Essentials Badges
Self-paced professional learning essential for those who are implementing and/or supporting the implementation of Skyline. Courses include how to navigate Skyline, plan and teach lessons and administer assessments using the Skyline digital learning ecosystem. The Navigating, Planning, Teaching, and Assessing 1&2 badges are required for new Skyline adopting teachers. Access Skyline Essential Badges HERE!  

Payment / Credit Hours
Teachers will receive CPDUs for each Skyline Essentials badge completed. As of April 1, 2025, no compensation will be provided for completion of Skyline Essentials badges. Teachers will receive CPDUs for attending PL sessions. Eligibile staff will also be compensated at the non-instructional rate per hour for their attendance at Skyline PL sessions that occur outside of regularly contracted hours. Teachers must be fully contracted and onboarded at the time of the session, attend the full duration of the session, and complete the attendance/exit slip form to receive payment and CPDUs. Please note: this session is only applicable to current Pre-K teachers and support staff whose schools have formally adopted PK ALE.
If you are not an official PK ALE teacher or support staff, you should not join this session.
Due to the limitations of our grant, we are unable to pay teachers who are not current PK ALE teachers or support staff.

Sprint 5 - Pre-K Foundational Skills (Enhancing Lesson Engagement Through Technology) FILLING
Tuesday May 6, 2025 4:30pm - 6:00pm CDT
During this session, teachers will reflect on their foundational skill instruction and how to make PKFS lessons more engaging and accessible through Google slides.  This session will cover basic to moderate strategies in personalizing PKFS resources; no background knowledge of Google slides is required!  Teachers will also have the ability to share artifacts and/or ideas for literacy instruction from their classroom.

This session is ONLY available to current Pre-K teachers and support staff from schools that have formally adopted Skyline PKFS. Participants who do not meet this description will be removed from the registration list and will be ineligible to attend or receive payment.
