About me
I am a science teacher. I have taught almost every high school science topic over my 15 year career. I have settled into teaching Physics to 9th Grade students over the past several years. I enjoy it very much.
Hubbard is my third school. I started at Phillips High Schools, then moved to Harper High School and the 20-21 school year will be my 4th year at Hubbard. Over my career, my students have primarily been African American and Hispanic. I have always understood the importance of building relationships with my students to help them succeed. In the view of COVID 19, I feel that the social emotional need this year will be great.
I am a very worldly person. I watch the world news everyday, I read articles about other places and have a deep appreciation of cultural diversity. Before starting my teaching career with Chicago Public Schools, I lived in Malawi Africa for 17 years. I love to travel.
