Skyline Essentials Badges Self-paced professional learning essential for those who are implementing and/or supporting the implementation of Skyline. Courses include how to navigate Skyline, plan and teach lessons and administer assessments using the Skyline digital learning ecosystem.The Navigating, Planning, Teaching, and Assessing 1&2 badges are required for new Skyline adopting teachers. Payment / Credit Hours Teachers will receive CPDUs for each Skyline Essentials badge completed. As of April 1, 2025, no compensation will be provided for completion of Skyline Essentials badges. Teachers will receive CPDUs for attending PL sessions. Eligibile staff will also be compensated at the non-instructional rate per hour for their attendance at Skyline PL sessions that occur outside of regularly contracted hours. Teachers must be fully contracted and onboarded at the time of the session, attend the full duration of the session, and complete the attendance/exit slip form to receive payment and CPDUs. This session Skyline 101-PreK ALE is designed to ensure that all bilingual and dual-language Pre-K teachers and TAs who are new to opting into this track of ALE Supplemental Skyline are familiarized with the two components of ALE, which are Foundational Skills and the Read-Aloud component. The Pre-K ALE supplemental curriculum is not meant to support newcomers or interventions, nor to have the materials in case they are needed. It is a comprehensive supplemental Spanish curriculum intended to teach the course Spanish Language Arts. It is a supplemental curriculum developed for native language instruction services required for ELs. Pre-K ALE is not an ESL support.
