Skyline Essentials Badges Self-paced professional learning essential for those who are implementing and/or supporting the implementation of Skyline. Courses include how to navigate Skyline, plan and teach lessons and administer assessments using the Skyline digital learning ecosystem.The Navigating, Planning, Teaching, and Assessing 1&2 badges are required for new Skyline adopting teachers. Payment / Credit Hours Teachers will receive CPDUs for each Skyline Essentials badge completed. As of April 1, 2025, no compensation will be provided for completion of Skyline Essentials badges. Teachers will receive CPDUs for attending PL sessions. Eligibile staff will also be compensated at the non-instructional rate per hour for their attendance at Skyline PL sessions that occur outside of regularly contracted hours. Teachers must be fully contracted and onboarded at the time of the session, attend the full duration of the session, and complete the attendance/exit slip form to receive payment and CPDUs. This session will support pre-K staff who are opting in to use this track of Skyline supplemental resources (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Science). During this session, participants will unpack a Creative Curriculum investigation from the Trees study and a Skyline Science lesson to better understand how the two can be infused. This is not a Pre-K Foundational Literacy Skills (PKFS) or Pre-K Spanish Literacy Skills (ALE) session.
OECE will provide funds for sub coverage for pre-K teachers attending district-led Skyline PL during the school day. A Skyline Payment one-pager and bucket number will be distributed at the session for teachers to share with their clerks.
