About me
I have been teaching for Chicago Public Schools for fifteen years. During this time period I have taught Kindergarten and 5th-8th grade students. In addition I have experience with teaching both self-contained 5th, 5th-6th split, as well as departmentalized 6th-8th ELA, Writing, and Science. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I have been a Chicago Framework Specialist, ProjectLITComm chapter leader, Teacher Supporting Teachers Coach, Street Law Inc. Facilitator, a member of Shedd Aquarium Teacher Council, NCTE, ILA, and other professional organizations. Lastly, I have a strong passion for education and continue to read books/blogs, watch webinars, attend conferences, and provide professional develop to both novice and veteran educators year round.
