About me
Allyson Taber Turner grew up playing school with all the neighborhood kids and after earning a degree in Public Affairs, she returned to school to become an elementary teacher - her 5-year-old self really did know best! Allyson worked as a general education and diverse learner teacher for more than a decade. During this time, she also earned her Master's in Special Education, Education Specialist degree, and completed a year-long practicum to become a certified Wilson dyslexia practitioner. Currently, she leads the Department of Literacy's MTSS work.
