About me
Amy Niederberger Weiss is a passionate advocate for children's literacy and bilingual education and is always looking for new ways to engage students and bring out their creativity. She serves as the Elementary Literacy and Intervention Manager and Biliteracy Lead for Chicago Public Schools Department of Literacy, working daily to ensure that all students receive the highest quality literacy and native language instruction. As a teacher for over 8 years, she also served as a Bilingual and Dual Language Coordinator, developing and implementing a native language program. She has her BA from Northwestern University and her Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on bilingual and EL education as well as her National Board Certification.
